Hi, my name is Kory.

Black Mirror

Anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes talking with me about television shows knows that I am a HUGE Black Mirror fan. I love how the show examines our relationship with technology. I love how it uses dramatic twists to deliver the unexpected. And I love Love LOVE the writing.

But it's not a show for the faint of heart. I made the mistake of introducing the show to my better half with the first episode. She was not amused. After some begging and pleading (very dignified, of course), I convinced her to watch a couple more episodes that may or may not have redeemed my t.v. show selection ability in her eyes. Stay tuned...

So that you don't make the same mistake I did, here is THE definitive order to watch Black Mirror:

Level 1: Welcome to Black Mirror

Welcome to Black Mirror. It takes a minute to get oriented into the Black Mirror world is all about. These handful of episodes are like training wheels. Do watch all of the episodes in this level before moving on to the next level. This level is great for binging.

Level 2: Relationships Aren't Always What They Seem

Black Mirror doesn't only play with our relationship with technology and flip it on its head, it also gets us to examine our relationships with others. This level definitely turns the dial up some and thus, is not recommended for binging. After each of the following episodes, I looked for the nearest Black Mirror-watching friend and rambled off all the questions, comments, highlights I experienced.

Level 3: And You Might Not Be Who You Think You Are

So you've made it this far? Good on you. At this point, you can consider yourself a fan of the show. This level has some incredible highs and some incredible lows. You never know where Black Mirror will take you. Enjoy.

Level 4: I Need A Hug

Spoiler alert: These episodes will mess with you. If you've made it this far, then you NEED to finish the series. I don't want to say anymore about the following episodes. Just know that the show is called Black Mirror for a reason. Enjoy.

I wish I could re-watch all of Black Mirror for the first time. It's that good.
